Dave has lived on the marina for over two years, most recently on Esmeralda. Dave is the marina's "fix-it" man, and spends a lot of his time helping his neighbours with everything from their broken down engines to leaky taps to sinking boats. If there is ever a tool you need to borrow Dave's your man! He can regularly be seen in the evening wandering around cleaning up the litter in Cottonfield park once all the visitors have left.
James is one of our residents who rents his boat, Reality, and who has made his home in our community. He grew up in Manchester and appreciates the opportunity the marina provides to live and work in the city centre.
Mr B Swan is New Islington's most notorious resident, carrying out a rein of terror against residents, vistors, dogs and geese alike. Recently turned father to 5 cygnets, these are his thoughts about the eviction.

Wilf was born at the marina and spent most of his life here. Although he has moved to the land, he is just round the corner and we see him every day. Once a boater, always a boater!
Andy lives on Morning Glory, a beautiful 57ft narrowboat, with his partner Dani, dog Ayla, and cat, Ode. Their dream was also to restore an old cafe boat to run as a business from the Marina.
Tina is one of the many fabulous people we are proud to call a neighbour here at New Islington, and can often be seen hanging out near her boat Empress.
